I started YourFitTrip to fill a need I saw in the blogosphere. Helping fellow business travelers (read: road warriors) and leisure travel enthusiasts stay healthy and fit on the road. I had always made it a point (or at least tried) to hack my way around airport food, sparse hotel room service menus and less than inspiring hotel gyms…and I loved telling my friends and colleagues about my tips.
I then stopped YourFitTrip because other ‘things’ kicked in. Wedding planning, a new website idea and launch, a certification course for work and because my work travel schedule was dialing down. I thought, how could I maintain a blog about travel if I wasn’t traveling 80% of the time? What I failed to realized was that the word “trip” held so many meanings. Each thing I was starting was a journey…a trip. Each one presented their own obstacles to working out, eating healthy and taking care of myself. So while sure, this blog and the airport guide inside is meant in the literal sense to help out fellow travelers, business and leisure alike, it’s also meant to help anyone on a ‘trip,’ whether it’s career, family, education related.
